DOROTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHHAHA

thank the gods cuz in our little group I always get dubbed Dorothy. mostly cuz of the education thing not the whore thing.

lol but me as blanche?
what a farce

hey with DDR, how long did your pads last before death? I wonder if the hard plastic ones are more durable? happen to know? Cuz the left arrow on one of my pads is wonky sometimes - I plan on burning them into the ground tho but I wondered if you knew anything about em.

BTW, do you like Absolutely Fabulous? I finally got the boxed set and Kirk's gonna come over week after next and we were gonna have a AbFab marathon and get liquored up and laugh our asses off. Not that I get all liquored up on 4 JDs (too cheap to be a drunk) but I figure it'd be good for a laugh and wanted to fling a potential invite your way.

Fav character is the daughter on Ab Fab. :)

Its funny at times and at times its annoying.

I'd be up for it and i even have a gift to bring heh.

I have one of thoose LARGE JD bottles. I bought to take to a con but never got around to using.

As to when my pads died... it was right after i let them be used in the game room of ohayocon in january. so about 2 months but that was abused to no end in january.

hrrm ok that's cool then.
yea sometimes it can be annoying but yea Saffron is the best character. Most times it makes me laugh my ass off.

I went and got the box set Saturday when I went to Southpark with Kirk and his brother.

I'll let you know when we have things figured out as to the day, etc.

problem we have playin in the apartment is the noise factor... we have new neighbours underneath us and have to play in the one bedroom cuz i won't use the PS on my bigscreen tv.

but most saturdays in the future I have a feeling this game will be toted over to Jamie's parents' house who have PLENTY of room and concrete floors to play on.

Why won't you play it on the big screen?

Re:

it's a projection screen and I don't wanna ruin it. besides I prefer to use it as little as possible, I watch it for a couple hours a night and off it goes unless I'm watching anime or some movie.

I have a tv still at my dad's house that I have to pick up and get fixed somewheres that I plan on putting on a cart and using in the living room area for the DDR. But not my big tv. that's my anime baby. lol

I dunno I was advised to not play video games on it.

I use it, too. I'm just protective of my investments lol.

Besides, you HAVE to watch ANIME big -esp subtitled.

Heh used to watch it on a 20 foot diagonal screen :)

Its great sneaking on campus and using the projection equipment.

I think my next tv will be purchased around christmas next year.

since new laptop like next week.

then paying off debts.

and i'll be moving next august probably in by myself or with my brother for 1/2 a year then by myself
i'm planning on getting a 2 bdrm apartment and using one as a study but may have brother move in for 1/2 a year until he graduates.

but then i start to build my system.

yes i'm planning on making a nice system.

THX certified sterio and speakers HDTV maybe a plasma tv if they improve any.

yes i spend my money way in advance heh.

This would be my first place for you to look.

A laptop with office only really rules out apple notebooks. heh

The major thing would be how fast you want it to run.

The other thing is unless you go on line you may have a hard time finding laptops < $1000.
Not sure where you would go since last couple of times i looked in a store the ones they carried started at around 1200.

Re:

that would be ok too, 1200's not much of a difference.

IF i went to a 'real' store, where do you suggest? I got my PCs at Radio Shack and they're fairly decent still -I'm just abusive lol.

I'm leery of buying anything that pricey off the internet mostly cuz I'm a wuss. lol

heh as for real stores hmmmm lets see what are your choices.

Office Max.
Best Buy.
CompUSA.
Gateway Country.
Radio Shack.

CompUSA i'd say right out that they are usually more expensive then the others.

Office max... not even sure if they HAVE laptops.

Radio shack. don't know what they cary. i'd see what models/brands they carry and compare.

Gateway is easy to check out. just go to the website i think the stores run the same deals.

best buy. i generally shop there but i haven't done any real laptop shopping with them.

The laptop i'm getting is an apple so no one carries them in the store other then compusa who sells them way above retail (by a couple hundred)

So i'm either having my mom order it offline or taking my brother on a drive down to columbus where they have a store front.

(my mom and brother gets an educational discount from apple saving me like 200 :) )

Re:

I was contemplating Best Buy or Gateway. I looked at their stuff online and I spoz it's ok. lol

*flips coin*

or Radio Shack just cuz it's easy to get in and out of. It's worth an extra bit for me to not be hassled with crowds and the best buy in brooklyn is especially a place I don't wanna go with a wad of cash.

Gateway's around the corner from me...

Actually, it is...not so much with the smaller TV's, but with any sort of projection screen TV, including HDTV...it's best t'check with the manufacturer of your TV set to see if a game system is compatible with it, but we (er, we as in Sony) don't recommend hooking up a PSX or a PS2 to a projection TV, 'cos there's still that chance of the burn-in thing. *nods* ^-^
