|04:31 pm - The Callahan Chronicles|
A collection of short stories by Spider Robinson. All about a bar on the east coast.
Its about puns, human nature, drinking and bars.
But most of all its about hope.
The people who find callahan's generally need help and they find it there.
Spider Robinson has been asked many times where they can find the bar in real life or how to get there.
His response has been. "You are standing in it." Meaning the help people need is there.
But all the book has shown me is that. Stories purely on hope and regaining it tend to depress me.

Well at the time i read it I can only read it one way.
Though the interpretation can change. Like the depression stems from jealousy. Which stems from the lonliness which stems from the frustration which comes from the status-quo which steams from inaction which stems from fear.
There its now a bouquet. Of course seeing the progression and acting on it have always been two entirely seperate things.
