|10:30 am - The day after XP|
Well it's installed and its basic stuff is setup.
Other then the hard drive corruption which should be gone since all the drives have been formated.
Problems still left to face:
Getting remote desktop working. (Ferret is this only for local network computers or can i use this over broadband?)
Get rear speaker out to work for some reason i have to plug speakers into my livedrive on the front of the computer.
Otherwise windows plays the opening sound and then dies. but works fine on the front.
And then the tough stuff. getting video and 3d to work. Hopefully i can get my all in wonder software to work.
Good things about XP........
It looks pretty?
I have my LJ icon on my start menu. :)
It will be stable and faster.... hopefully. I haven't noticed much increase yet other then outlook
but thats cause it doesn't have to deal with the 5-6 years of email.
And getting Divx to work wasn't to much of a hastle though i was worried when the movies went into highspeed which appears to just be
the video catching up so its all good.
We will see what the future holds
Current Mood: nervous
...time to get new harddrives...and stick to ME...personally i really had no problems with it, and i dont trust XP that much. I think the next OS i move too will be of the Linux make...Bills eyes been getting kinda shifty lately...makes me nervous...

I'm considering getting this 80 gig firewire drive for my future plans. course i need a firewire card.
I'm currently starting to save for my next computer. which at this point looks to be a powerbook.
And simply use the computer to play with.
Since there aren't that many apps i really use consistantly other then browser, email, irc.
Im saving up to get me an Itanium processor...*_*

Well i sorta miss my old laptop and i've never tried having a mac and i could use it for vid editing.
So i figure what the heck why not.
or you could use a regular pc laptop and put linux on there for vid editing...
GK, have you tried XP yet? :)
there are a few features in there i dont like...so you wont see me installing it at home for personal use...
May I ask what?
I fully support and respect your right to choose whichever OS you want to. :) I'm just curious. :)
...most of all...i dont like the convos going between my comp and MS
If you're talking about Activation, I think it's a big mistake as well. Hopefully they'll see this.
But you are aware activation only sends a small key which contains no hardware or software information, right?
