|09:22 pm - Database cleaning|
So some tidbits.
Ohayocon's database has about 26,000 attendee records.
There's a bunch of duplicates. (Earlier today probably 8-9,000)
Cleaning the database is a pain in the arse.
Spent most of the day working on it.
It's down to just over 4,000 duplicates but I've taken care of most of the easy cases. (One of the duplicate pair only has name information, the records are exactly the same, etc)
Didn't get much functionality progress done, but this sort of needed done.
Current Mood: accomplished
I apologize for any duplicates that are my fault.
When you are ready I have contest winners who need 2012 badges issued- let me know when you are in a good place for this :)

It's not any one person's fault.
It's also largely from the fact that we have 3-4 years of old info that was in the system before it went "online" to where the attendee's enter in their own info.
I never cleaned up that info until now.
If you want to email me the list I can put them in the system now.
I'm just holding off on emailing confirmations at this point because i'm reworking it. I'm trying to add a barcode so we can just scan them at pre-reg checkin.
